What a lovely week we've had in school this week!

Year 3/4 went on their trip to Folly Farm and had such a lovely time that they've asked to go again. Today we have celebrated the Queens Diamond Jubilee. How colourful the school looked with everyone dressed in red, white and blue. Brandon came dressed as a king with the union jack as a cloak and wearing a crown. If it had been a competition he would have definitely won first prize. We learnt about the Queen and her reign and why this celebration is such a big event. The school celebrated this afternoon with our own street party with bunting and crowns made by the children and cakes and party food.

I hope you all enjoy your week and manage to celebrate at home. When we return to school we will be practising for Sports day so bring PE kit to leave in school and if the sun shines make sure you have suncream and hats. There is much to look forward to during the next half term; Olympic week begins 25th June and our Summer fete will be on the 23rd June. Year 6 have their prom in July.

Enjoy your week and return refreshed.

Hello everyone,

We are already into the third week of Summer term although it does feel more like October; it's going quickly. Last week we celebrated World Book day; well done everyone for the effort to find a costume. There were some inventive costumes throughout the school.

This term our theme is 'Our World'; we will be investigating plants and animals in Science, let's hope the weather improves so that we are able to get outdoors without getting wet. We will be observing and sketching plants in Art and looking at the paintings of Monet. In Design Technology we will look at fruits of the world and will design and make a fruit kebab. To reinforce the theme of 'Our World' we will read 'Charlotte's Web'.

Later in the term we will have an Olympic theme week and, weather permitting, it will include Sports Day.  We are hoping to have some fun activities that week. Let's hope the sun starts shining!
