We have settled well into Autumn term and already it is October. We are pleased to have welcomed two new members into our class; Jordanne Evans and Brandon Lear, they are a pleasure to have as classmates and are being looked after by all.
Autumn is a time of change and our topic this term is 'changes'. In Science we are looking at changes in materials, in History how daily lives were changed in World War II, in Art changes in design and paintings and self-portraits showing changes in age. More detail can be found on the letters sent out with information on this term's planning.
We were fortunate to have been invited to Barry Island by the Variety club once again. It was a lovely day; the weather was good and everyone enjoyed themselves. Three children have been awarded 'Seren Yr Wythnos' this term; Jordanne Evans, Sean Paterson, and Charlotte Foward. I'm sure everyone will continue to work well this term, please help by regularly hearing your children to read and supporting them with their homework.
As part of our healthy school initiative children are being encouraged to bring in only healthy snacks and children are allowed to bring in water bottles to fill from our water coolers. Please help to support this and ensure that your child has PE kit in school.
We are looking forward to our harvest festival and I will keep you updated with any other news.
