Welcome to Class 13's Blog!

Thursday 17 March 2011

Hello,

Since our return to school after the half-term break we've had an enjoyable three weeks in school. During our first week back we held our eisteddfod and how proud I was to see our class recite their welsh poem so enthusiastically.  They all sat so well and enjoyed watching all the items which were of such good standard.

Last week we were very priviliged to have an insight into different religions, hinduism, sikhism and judaism. We looked at their artefacts and dress and what they represent. We learned about their beliefs and learned that there are many things that are similar in each religion. The children were very well-behaved and respectful during our visit to a synagogue. The week ended with our very successful 'pink' day, the sun shone and the school looked lovely. Mrs Williams would have been proud. Sukie was awarded the special edition pink 'Seren yr Wythnos' for her keen interest and showing how much she learned during RE week.

This week we have enjoyed the sunshine and have been out weeding our planters ready for planting. Tomorrow we will have our 'chairing of the bard' ceremony.

Let's hope the sun continues to shine.

Mrs Hussey
